Northern Plains Sustainable Ag slates winter conference

Northern Plains Sustainable Ag’s 37th annual Winter Conference will be at Aberdeen’s Best Western Ramkota Hotel, 1400 Eighth Ave. N.W., on Jan. 22-23. Four pre-conference workshops are planned for Jan. 21.

The annual event will include trade show vendors, educational breakout sessions and two nationally-renowned keynote speakers: Paul Dettloff, Organic Valley veterinarian, and Wenonah Hauter, founder and executive director of Food and Water Watch.

Conference workshops will cover a wide range of topics, including livestock production and health, natural weed control, crop marketing, cover crops, permaculture, native plants, bees, ancient grains, gardening, children’s workshops and more.

This event hosts an audience of close to 700 innovative sustainable ag farmers, ranchers, growers, processors, consumers, students and those interested in the environment.
