Field to Fork Wednesday Webinars start Aug.17
“Field to Fork Wednesday Weekly Webinars” will be relaunched Aug. 17.
The series is an effort to increase North Dakotans’ knowledge of food safety in growing, transporting, processing and preserving fruits and vegetables.
The hourlong webinars will be provided free of charge. They’ll be held on the following Wednesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. CDT by the following NDSU personnel:
Aug. 17: Extending the Growing Season and Putting the Garden to Bed – Tom Kalb, Extension horticulturist
Aug.24: Sauerkraut and Beyond: Food Fermentation 101 – Cliff Hall, professor, Plant Sciences Department, and Julie Garden-Robinson, Extension food and nutrition specialist
Aug. 31: The Joy of Fall Bulb Planting: Garlic and Tulips – Todd Weinmann, agriculture and natural resources/horticulture agent, Cass County
Sept. 14: Growing Microgreens in Your Home – Esther McGinnis, Extension horticulturist
The webinars will be held on Blackboard Collaborate. A registration link is on the NDSU Extension Field to Fork website, https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/fieldtofork. You can watch the initial Field to Fork Wednesday webinars, which are archived on that website.
This project is made possible with funding from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.
