Hungry for Truth presents LOCASH and more at the Sioux Empire Fair
Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Empire Fair is a celebration of all things South Dakota. On August 11, fairgoers can join Hungry for Truth in celebrating food and farming. Attendees can stop by the Pipestone Discovery Barn on Hungry for Truth Day to ask questions about how their food is raised to the people who know it best: South Dakota farmers.
“Events like the Sioux Empire Fair give us the perfect opportunity to talk with South Dakotans and hear what they have to say. We’re all ears when it comes to food and farming questions,” said Marc Reiner, a local South Dakota farmer. “The honest and engaging conversations we have are what this initiative is all about.”
After a fun day enjoying everything the Sioux Empire Fair has to offer, fairgoers can attend the evening concert sponsored by Hungry for Truth. The 7 p.m. country concert is free with fair admission and features Chris Janson with LOCASH and Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys.
The initiative is also giving away tickets to an exclusive wine-tasting event with LOCASH. The country music duo’s hit singles include “I Love This Life” and “I Know Somebody.” Stop by the Hungry for Truth booth for a chance to win tickets to this event and to talk with farmers about issues like GMOs, pesticides, sustainability and farm living.
Hungry for Truth is an outreach initiative about food and farming funded by the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council. The goal of Hungry for Truth is to elevate discussions among South Dakotans and South Dakota farmers about how food is raised.
