Youth earn 4-H herdsman, showmanship awards at N.D. State Fair
The North Dakota State 4-H livestock show ended on Saturday, July 30, with the selection of the overall showmanship winners in the junior, intermediate and senior divisions. In addition, the winners of the State Fair herdsman awards were announced for all species.
The top two showmanship participants from the beef, sheep, swine, goats and dairy shows competed in Round Robin events at the State Fair, held in Minot. The contestants received three minutes for each animal, and judges evaluated their skills in showing the animals.
The recipients of the top herdsman and showmanship awards by county were:
