Brent Wiesenburger named one of “Top Ten People in Precision Agriculture”
Aberdeen, SD — Wheat Growers’ Precision Ag Manager Brent Wiesenburger has been named one of the “Top Ten People in Precision Agriculture” by PrecisionAg Magazine. The article says that Wiesenburger is one of the ten people “driving precision agriculture adoption forward in 2016.”
“I’m humbled to be named in this list and honored to be the head of our precision ag program that ultimately was built by our employees, retail partners and our end users. We have all helped drive the adoption and evolution of these precision ag products and farming practices,” Wiesenburger says.
The Wheat Growers precision ag program consists of a hardware division that has over $3.5 million in annual sales as well as a software and data management division that serves over 1.2 million acres, the MZB precision ag platform. Wiesenburger has assisted in guiding the development of both business sectors during his career.
“We are very proud of Brent’s accomplishments and this honor,” Steve Briggs, Wheat Growers’ Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing, says. “He has a long history with Wheat Growers in the precision ag space and has developed our award-winning system from the ground up. He has a unique vision of the technology and how to make it work for our growers to help them be successful.”
