SIOUX FALLS – The nation’s largest biofuel producer, POET, LLC, has announced a major new advertising campaign aimed at bringing the Sioux Falls-based company’s distinctive message on homegrown innovation and clean energy leadership to the nation’s capital.

“More than 30 years ago, the agricultural crisis was in full swing, and we started making biofuels on our family farm from surplus corn,” said Jeff Broin, POET founder & CEO. “Today, we operate 30 facilities in eight states, producing homegrown biofuels and supporting nearly 40,000 American jobs. Our scientists and engineers are driving new innovations every day, and we’re eager to share our passion for American ingenuity with our nation’s leaders inside the beltway and around the country.”

POET’s campaign is scheduled to run through the end of this year, with an initial launch on May 14 featuring cable and broadcast spots during popular Sunday morning newscasts. The campaign also will include a broad range of digital and display ads, among other mediums.

“Our team at POET knows what it means to build something from the ground up,” said Broin. “We opened the nation’s first commercial cellulosic biofuels facility in Iowa, and we’re investing every day in the technologies that are unleashing the full potential of America’s vast renewable resources. With the support of elected leaders who understand the value of innovation, companies like POET are ready to help revitalize rural communities and cement America’s leadership in clean energy.”
