South Dakota FFA awards collegiate scholarships

South Dakota FFA is dedicated to premier leadership, personal growth, and career success and is therefore proud to support South Dakota FFA members in their post-secondary education. The following scholarships were awarded as part of the South Dakota FFA Foundation’s collegiate scholarship program.

The Gary Grey Agricultural Education Scholarship

The Agricultural Education Scholarship is awarded to a senior FFA member who intends to study agricultural education at a post-secondary institution. Recipient of the $750 scholarship is TJ Bigge, Parkston.

Blue and Gold Scholarships

The South Dakota FFA offers Blue and Gold Scholarships to any graduating senior who is planning to enroll in an agriculture-related field in one of South Dakota’s institutions. Recipients of the $750 scholarships are:

• Dalton Howe, Redfield.

• Sadie VanderWal, Northwestern Area.

• Marie Robbins, Elkton.

• Grady Gullickson, Flandreau.

Bob Titus Memorial Scholarship

The Bob Titus Memorial Scholarship, which is sponsored by Sioux Falls Ford, was established in memory of Bob Titus, father of past state FFA officer Jenny Titus-Jacobson. The recipient of this $500 scholarship is Anthony Anderson, Hitchcock-Tulare.

Mary Hansen Memorial Scholarships

The Mary Hanson Memorial Scholarships are intended for FFA members who are residents in Minnehaha or Lincoln counties. Recipients of the $750 scholarships are:

• Ethan Geraets, Chester.

• Tiffany Rausch, West Central.

• Sarah Kroger, Lennox.

• Arianne VanBockern, Canton.

Monsanto Scholarships

As a Five Star Team Ag Ed Partner with the South Dakota FFA Foundation, Monsanto sponsors four $500 scholarships. Recipients are:

• Travis Leber, Parker.

• William Colton Riley, Rapid City.

• TJ Bigge, Parkston.

• Ally Binger, Hitchcock-Tulare.

Twin Cities Region Northland Ford Scholarships

As a Distinguished Star Team Ag Ed Partner with the South Dakota FFA Foundation, Twin Cities Region Northland Ford sponsors four $500 scholarships. Recipients are:

• Nathan Linke, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket.

• Seth Shorb, Rapid City.

• Kyle Winberg, McCook Central.

• Trenton Weber, Parkston.

Wade Lang Memorial Scholarship

The Wade Lang Memorial Scholarship is given in memory of Wade Lang who served as the South Dakota State FFA Treasurer from 1991-1992. The recipient of this $500 memorial scholarship is Ariann Van Bockern, Canton.

Marsh Agricultural Scholarship

The Marsh Agricultural Scholarship is a scholarship for students studying agricultural and is sponsored by Doug and Claire Marsh. Recipients of this $500 scholarship are:

• Jacob Harden, West Central.

• Maggie Connor, Howard.

• Tiffany Rausch, West Central.

Wosje Agricultural Business Scholarship

The Wosje Agricultural Business Scholarships are sponsored by Chad and Rhonda Wosje. Chad and Rhonda are South Dakota State University graduates and Sioux Valley FFA Alumni members. Recipients of these $750 scholarships are:

• Brianna Larson, Brookings.

• Blake Kontz, Flandreau.

WLC Scholarship

The WLC Scholarships are sponsored by the South Dakota FFA Foundation. These scholarships aid high school members in attending the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington DC. Recipients of these $500 scholarships are:

• Sydney Hoffman, Bridgewater-Emery.

• Paige Peterson, McCook Central.

• Lindsey VanderWal, Sioux Valley.

Ernie Wingen Memorial Scholarship

The Ernie Wingen Memorial Scholarship is for FFA members studying agriculture at SDSU. Ernie was an ag advisor in Hoven, S.D., who taught students the value of character, community service, and hard work. This scholarship is set up in honor of Ernie by his son Pat and his former FFA students as a way to share his legacy with current FFA members. One FFA member, with preference to Hoven and Potter County students, will receive this $2,000 scholarship each year. The recipient of this scholarship is Gage Weller, Gettysburg.

Continuing Agriculture Education Scholarships

These scholarships assist students currently studying agricultural education at South Dakota State University as they continue their pursuit in a career as an ag teacher. They are made possible through funding provided by South Daktoa FFA Star partners: Twin City Region Northland Ford, Monsanto, Agtegra, ADM, CHS Foundation, BankWest, Producers Hybrids, as a special project of the South Dakota FFA Foundation. Recipients are:

• Madelyn Regier.

• Sarah Maderfeld.

• Stephanie Hauger.

• Breanna Vogel.

• Rebekka Paskewitz.

• Dusty Dykstra.

• Kathryn Rogers.

• Clayton Scott.

• Jacey Edlin.

• Abigail Schechinger.

Post-Secondary Ag Scholarships

These scholarships are for students currently studying any area of agriculture at a South Dakota postsecondary school. They are made possible through funding provided by South Dakota FFA Star partners: Twin City Region Northland Ford, Monsanto, Agtegra, ADM, CHS Foundation, BankWest, Producers Hybrids, as a special project of the South Dakota FFA Foundation. Recipients are:

• Sydnie Peters.

• Kaylee Kohls.

• Hannah Noonan.

• Andrea Schubloom.

• Jacob Rausch.

• Kaelyn Platz.

• Alex Toupal.

• Alison Knutson.
