Dakota Sharpshooters
The Dakota Sharpshooters 4-H Club met on Feb. 5 at Northern Electric at 5:30 p.m. The hosts were the Bowsers. Zachary Bowser gave a talk on natural disasters, and Emma Bowser gave a talk on Beethoven’s life. Brody Kaan led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Katrina Gibson led the 4-H Pledge.
The activity was the How to Choose a Pet Quiz from The Pet Place by Anna Johnson.
The old business was Dutenhoffers’ delivering the bean soup packets to Good Shepherd Lutheran. Other old business was the Primrose visit that the Dutenhoffers, Crawfords, Selzlers, and Gibsons went to.
The new business was CPS Blankets and Bags that we will do on Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at Northern Electric. We will also have our Winter Fun at Skate Away on Feb. 24 from 2-4:30 p.m. and then have pizza at Thatzza Pizza afterwards. You can also turn in your fruit sales at the Winter Fun. You can pick up your fruit on March 19 at Stan Beckler’s shop.
Our next meeting will be March 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Northern Electric. Our activity will be first aid/CERT/CPR at the next meeting.

Friendly Fellows and Daisies
The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H Club met on October 7, 2018, for their regular meeting. The meeting was called to order by Nicole Marzahn. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kaitlyn Anderson, and the 4-H Pledge was led by Colin Frey. Roll call topic was favorite ice cream, and 23 members answered roll call.
Communications were a “Get Well to Denise Weiker.” The treasurer reported an amount of $2,211.27 with no bill and no receipts. The treasurer’s report was approved by Hanna Miller and seconded by Clay Crawford. There were no additions or improvements to the secretary’s report. The secretary’s report was approved by Braden Boe and seconded by Mallory Miller.
Old business was record books. This was approved and closed by Blake Pauli and seconded by Walker Zoellner. New business was the monthly Newshound, the start of a new 4-H year, and the election of officers. New business was closed by Logan Riggenberg and seconded by Natalia Warrington. Other business was Adopt-A-Highway date and discussion. The meeting was adjourned by Mallory Miller and seconded by Walker Zoellner. Colin Fry had a talk about his experience with National 4-H Dairy Judging. Lunch was served by the Pauli Family.

Friendly Fellows and Daisies
The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H Club met on Nov. 4, 2018, for their regular meeting. The meeting was called to order by Nicole Marzahn. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Logan Riggenberg, and the 4-H Pledge was led by Mallory Miller. Roll call topic was favorite holiday food. There were no communications.
The treasurer’s report was approved by Clay Crawford and seconded by Ashlyn Warrington. There were no additions or improvements to the secretary’s report. The secretary’s report was approved by Braden Boe and seconded by Carly Crawford.
Old business was record books and the annual recognition event. New business was the monthly Newshound and the annual Christmas party. The meeting was adjourned by Noah Scepaniak and seconded by Andrew Marzahn. Lunch was served by Logan Riggenberg.

Friendly Fellows and Daisies
The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H club met on December 9, 2018, at the Claremont Methodist Church for its annual Christmas party. Members and their families included Kaitlyn, Kennedy and Stacy Anderson; Colin, Mike and Sara Frey; Nicole, Andrew, Renee and Wade Marzahn; Braden, Mandy and Mark Boe; Clay, Austin, Carly, Colby and Annisa Crawford; Mallory, Hanna, Tucker, Eric and Melissa Miller; Blake, Hailey, Brad and Michelle Pauli; Logan, Molly and Mike Riggenberg; Logan, Ashlyn, Grayson, Jason and Robyn Warrington; Axel, Novalea, Natalia, and Neil Warrington; Walker, Jordan, Riley, and Darin Zoellner; Guests included Stephen and Lynn Wright, Thomas Dunlavy, Janice Fliehs, Leann and Royal Tople, Roy Jr. and Karen Boe; Virginia Pulfrey, Donna Vietor, Ken and Janet Frey, Donna Scheibe, Bernice Doctor, Dylan Frey, Connie Anderson, Diane and Leo Warrington, and Sharon and Al Grau.
Attendees played card bingo with lots of prizes won. The members sang Christmas carols and gave candy pots full of candy to our guests as Christmas gifts.
For our Community Service project, the 4-H members brought food items to be donated to the local food pantry.
Leader Mike Frey announced each member of the club along with their accomplishments for the year.
There were piano pieces played by numerous members of the club for entertainment.
The group watched a slide show of the past year’s activities of both club and individual accomplishments and events.
The Christmas party ended with a potluck supper and desserts. The next meeting will be held in January at Jungle Lanes in Groton.
