2019 Team Roping Clinic scheduled for April 26-28
The Double Bar J Cowboy Church in Huron, S.D., will be hosting their second annual Team Roping Clinic at the Beef Complex at the South Dakota State Fair Grounds April 26-28. Again eight-time world champion team roper and Cowboy Hall of Fame member Speed Williams will be the clinician.
Williams and team roping partner Rich Skelton rattled off a incredible string of titles from 1997 to 2004. Now Williams uses his talents to teach those that have a real desire to rope.
The church would like to extend an invitation to 12 headers and six heelers. This will be a great opportunity for the guys and girls who compete in high school rodeo or junior high rodeo and 4-H rodeo to come and learn under one of rodeo’s best.
Attendees will be using roping dummies provided by HotHeels from Iowa City, Iowa. This year Williams will be bringing his new roping tool developed by Priefert. This new tool is a model horse that can be adjusted to fit you as the rider and teach you as a roper. To learn more go to Speedrope.com. Also, if you would like more information on the Hot Heels product lines, call Jennifer at 712-947-4198.
We would like to invite folks to come out and support the Double Bar J Cowboy Church concessions at the clinic. The Cowboy Church will use these funds to help support our different event ministries for 2019.
If you would like to be a part of the Roping Clinic or have any questions call Julian Burgess at 605-461-6727 or email southdakotacowboy10@gmail.com.
