2019 canning workshops offered by SDSU Extension
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Join SDSU Extension Field Specialists and learn how to safely can in your kitchen. Canning workshops will be held in Elkton and Rapid City.
“During the workshops, we’ll discuss safe food preservation practices and guide participants through hands on canning techniques,” explained Megan Erickson, SDSU Extension Nutrition Field Specialist.
Workshops are open to all. Youth under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by an adult. To register, visit extension.sdstate.edu/events and search by Canning Workshops. To help cover costs, registration is $35 per adult and adult/youth pair. Registration includes materials and a meal. Class size is limited, so register soon.
