Low Stress Livestock Handling Road Tour dates set for Sept. 24-27
The South Dakota Grassland Coalition and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service are sponsoring a Low Stress Livestock Handling road tour Sept. 24-27. Workshops led by Dr. Tom Noffsinger, DVM, will be held in four locations across the state.
Dr. Noffsinger is a consulting feedyard veterinarian known for his passion and enthusiasm for working with feedyards and ranches on low-stress cattle handling. He serves as a veterinary consultant for Production Animal Consultation.
Topics addressed include creating a greater understanding of the animals we work with, enjoying healthier animals through improved immune function, managing relocation stress, creating a safer, pleasant working environment, improved communication with your animals and encouraging trust.
The schedule for the road tour is as follows:

Registration is free to Grassland Coalition members. The cost for non-members is $30 which includes a South Dakota Grassland Coalition membership. Lunch is free for those who RSVP in advance.
