Make plans now to attend this year’s North Dakota Angus Tour hosted by the North Dakota Angus Association. The tour will headquartered out of Minot, N.D., and will feature North Dakota Angus breeders west to Montana and north to Canada.

The event will kick off Sept. 20 with registration and a social gathering of all participants, sponsors and ranches at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Minot. The two-day excursion will include stops at Ash Coulee Ranch, White Earth; Feiring Angus Ranch, Powers Lake; Glasoe Angus, Wildrose; and Overland Angus, Fortuna. Day two stops include Sundsbak Farms, Des Lacs; Hall Stock Farm, Berthold; and Forte Livestock, Embryo Division, Berthold.

This year’s tour has some additions as well. The morning of Sept. 21, the event will begin with an educational presentation sponsored by Neogen, “Genetic Solutions for Each Step in the Supply Chain.” The American Angus Association will provide a live animal foot score demonstration at Glasoe Angus. Dinner on Monday night will be held at The Old School Center in Fortuna. The North Dakota Angus Auxiliary will again be holding a silent and live auction at dinner along with other NDAA Auxiliary items available for purchase.

Zoetis will be sponsoring the presentation “The Value of Informed Decisions for Commercial Cattlemen,” the morning of Sept. 22. The tour will conclude after a live OPU demonstration at Forte Livestock, Embryo Division, powered by Vytelle.

The cost of the tour, which includes a two-day bus ride and all meals on the tour, is $50 per person, if pre-registered by Aug. 24, and $75/person after Aug. 24. The headquarters hotel is the Sleep Inn & Suites in Minot. A block of rooms is available under North Dakota Angus for $79/night and reservations can be made by calling 701-837-3100.
