CHS board of directors election draws praise from women's ag group
COLCHESTER, Vt. — Cortney Wagner, a Montana rancher, was recently elected to the CHS Inc. board of directors.
“The election of Cortney Wagner shows that women are knowledgeable in the field of agriculture and have confidence in the business world,” said American Agri-Women President Karolyn Zurn.
Wagner has a long-standing background in the co-op world. CHS Inc. is a well-known cooperative headquartered in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. CHS Inc. is a Fortune 100 company and is owned by farmers, ranchers, and cooperatives across the U.S.
Wagner earned her degree from the University of North Dakota, thus adding to her appeal for rural America and all women in agriculture.
“I am dedicated to the cooperative values and principles that have withstood for generations,” Wagner said. “In the cooperative system, you are not just a customer, you are an owner of a great support system to help farmers and ranchers succeed.”
