NCASC Ranch Rodeo and Mutton Busting in Tolstoy – Sept. 29
The North Central Area Saddle Club will hold its 4th annual Ranch Rodeo and Mutton Busting in Tolstoy on Sunday, Sept. 29, starting at noon. Ranch rodeo events will include: range branding, sort and pen, range doctoring, pasture loading, and pasture sorting. There will be a $160 entry fee for a 4 person team with “Champion” buckles awarded to the top team along with payback to the top 4 teams. There will also be added event money in each event as well as a “Hard Luck” award. There will be a team calcutta at noon with payout for the top two teams. Along with the ranch rodeo and mutton busting, rodeo clown Duane Reichert will present “Backstage with a rodeo clown” at 11 a.m. for all kids and will perform with his horses “Little Richie” and “Pony Baroni” throughout the day. There also will be a “skirt your steer” contest where 3 person teams will compete to see who can dress their steer in a skirt the fastest. The ranch rodeo is the clubs annual event to raise money for area individuals or families that are suffering and going through hard times and also to help fund their college scholarship program. It will be a day filled with fun and entertainment for all ages. It will be a freewill admission so bring the family and enjoy the action. The saddle club arena is located on the northeast corner of Tolstoy and concessions will be served on the grounds.
