South Dakota Horse Sales, Inc.
Shawn Coleman of Woonsocket sold Lot 15, Strait Dul, a 11-year-old gray AQHA gelding, for $5,600, topping the April 21 horse sale at South Dakota Horse Sales, Inc. in Corsica. “Silver” was exhibited as a team roping horse, head and heal, in the sale preview. He was also shown by Shawn Coleman’s 3-year-old son as gentle and safe for all ages to ride. This excellent, all-around family, ranch, trail or team roping horse sold to Greg Tweten of Benson, Minn. An engraved saddle was also awarded to Shawn Coleman for winning the 17th Annual Super Bowl Gelding Sale by selling the top gelding of the sale. The gelding special is held at each April’s sale at the South Dakota Horse Sales in Corsica.
Reserve Top Sale Horse sells for $5,500
Lot 9, Jasper, sorrel 10-year-old grade gelding and broke the very best, was consigned by 6-year-old Jackson Langdeau of Rapid City. This exceptionally good-looking quiet, gentle gelding sold to Roger Baumfalk of Avon, S.D.
