Plan B an abomination

It is nothing less than abominable that the Obama administration should allow the abortifacient drug with the trade name “Plan B” to be made available without a prescription for any girl who wants it – or any predator who coerces a girl into obtaining it. This potent drug is 40 times stronger than the birth control pill.

Not only does the drug have the potential to cause an abortion by making a female’s reproductive tract hostile to the implantation of the developing zygote, Plan B has the potential to harm the health of a growing, developing pubescent girl.

President Barack Obama himself had previously stated that “as the father of two daughters, I think it is important for us to make sure that we apply some common sense to various rules when it comes to over-the-counter medicine.”

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was concerned that 10- or 11-year-old girls might not be fully informed on the drug’s use when she, too, had advised against lowering availability to girls under age 17.

Obama’s Justice Department caved into a judge, rather than continue to appeal the ruling for the sake of the health and safety of little girls.

An abomination, most certainly.
